LIVONIA, MICH. - This past Sunday, CBS Sunday Morning aired a story that included two Madonna University students, Emmanuel and Siem.
The story focused on the work of Detroit journalist and author Mitch Albom to rebuild an orphanage and a school in Haiti following the devastating earthquake, and how he found a little girl named Chika. Albom and wife Janine Sabino brought Chika home, and she was the inspiration for his latest book, Finding Chika.
Emmanuel and Siem, the Madonna University students, were children at that orphanage in Haiti 10 years ago. Nearly six million people, the viewership for CBS Sunday Morning, saw this heartwarming story.
The Mitch Albom story can be found on the CBS News website.
