Madonna University Announces Two Innovative Programs to Meet Growing Industry Demands

LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University is proud to announce the launch of two cutting-edge academic programs designed to prepare students for rapidly expanding career opportunities: Business Analytics and Cybersecurity

Both programs, developed in partnership with RIZE Education, reflect Madonna University's commitment to providing students with relevant, industry-focused education that addresses the evolving needs of today's job market.

Business analytics: turning data into strategic advantage

The new Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics program equips student with essential skills to thrive in our increasingly data-driven business environment. The comprehensive curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on application, covering everything from fundamental data analysis to statistical methods to advanced machine learning and business intelligence tools. 

"Today's businesses collect a wide range of data on everything from consumer preferences and buying habits to production and supply chain performance," explains Frank Notturno, Undergraduate Chair, School of Business. "They rely on the accurate analysis of this data to make strategic and tactical decisions, and to solve business problems."

Graduates will be prepared for high-demand careers as data scientists, business analysts, operations research analysts, machine learning engineers, and business intelligence analysts. Entry-level positions in the field offer salaries often starting at around $60,000 across industries including healthcare, finance, technology, government, and management consulting. 

cybersecurity: defending against digital threats

Madonna University's new Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program addresses the need for skilled professionals who can protect against the evolving digital threats that impact our privacy, security, and safety. In today's interconnected world, cyber threats are a constant challenge, and individuals, businesses, and governments rely on secure systems to protect sensitive information and critical infrastructure. 

"Madonna University's School of Business is pleased to provide our students with access to rigorous cybersecurity training through our consortium partnership with RIZE," says Dr. Jessica Cummings, dean of the School of Business. "The partnership provides students access to cutting-edge learning and real-world skills while allowing them to experience the vibrant, supportive campus life that makes our university so special."

The comprehensive curriculum prepares students not only for successful careers as cybersecurity professionals but also positions them to obtain valuable industry certifications that increase employability, including the CompTIA A+ certification. Graduates will be well-prepared for entry level roles such as Security Analyst, Network Security Specialist, and Information Security Consultant. Career opportunities span diverse sectors, including government agencies, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and technology companies.
