New Student Orientation
Fall 2023 Start Students
For students starting in Fall 2023, more information will come in the Spring of 2023
regarding your orientation which will be communicated to you by your admissions officer
and Madonna email address when the information is available.
All new students will need to complete an orientation prior to beginning at the University.
At your orientation, you will hear from multiple areas including: Housing, Financial
Aid, Student Life, Academic Advising, First-Year Experience, and more! You will also
likely register for your first semester of classes, meet other new students, and begin
building those crucial skills needed in college.
Orientation: Direct from High School Students
We are very excited to help you navigate the exciting journey that is college. As
you are new to college, you are required to attend orientation to ensure you have
all the tools needed for a successful start to your first semester. Please see the
information below for how to sign up, steps to take, and what to expect at orientation.
There are several steps you should take to prepare for the Fall 2023 semester.
- First, you will need to pay your deposit through your Admissions Status Page if you
are direct from high-school student to be able to sign up for orientation.
- Register for one of the orientation dates once the sign up's become available.
- Once you register, you will receive a list of items that need to be completed prior
to attending orientation as well as check in information.
- If you are unable to attend, please reach out to us ASAP to discuss next steps.
Please email fye@madonna.edu with any questions.
There are many steps you will need to take prior to attending orientation and starting
classes, many of which we cover at orientation. However, please try to complete the
following before attending orientation.
- 1. Login to your Madonna email and setup your Madonna MyPortal if you haven't already. If you need assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@madonna.edu or
734-432-5800.
- 2. Make sure you have filed the FAFSA for your upcoming school year. It is important you list Madonna University (Federal School Code of 002282 on the FAFSA).
Parents/Guardians are not required to come to campus for orientation, however if they
would like to come, they are more than welcome to. We do limit each student to 2 guests
at orientation and ask that when you sign up for orientation, you indicate the number
of guests.
Orientation: Transfer Students
Transfer students who are transferring in 13 or more credits (excluding dual enrollment
or AP credit) or students older that 24 years old, have two options to cover the requirement
of attending orientation. You can either attend the in-person orientation or complete
the online orientation program. We highly recommend the in-person options as this
is a great way to get to meet other transfer students. After either of these options
if you still have questions, please email fye@madonna.edu for your individual questions. The online orientation program option is only for
transfer students and is not an option for direct from high school students.
More details to come soon with information on the signup information and dates for
