LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University has appointed Dominic Scala as its inaugural Director of Esports, effective June 18, 2025. Scala brings extensive experience from his previous role as Director of Esports at Concordia University Ann Arbor, where he grew the program's roster by 133% and co-organized fundraising efforts that raised over $7,000 for the Children's Miracle Network.
"Coach Scala brings a wealth of experience in esports, having built programs at both the high school and collegiate levels," said Madonna Director of Athletics Noel Emenhiser. "He aligns strongly with Madonna University's mission to deliver an outstanding student experience while striving for competitive excellence."
Scala will focus on recruiting and building the inaugural Madonna Esports roster throughout the 2025-26 academic year, with competition set to begin in Fall 2026.
