Madonna BCA Students Win Production Awards

LIVONIA, MICH. – Madonna University Broadcast and Cinema Arts (BCA) students earned one award and three nominations at the 2025 Michigan Student Production Awards, held Sunday, April 27, at Michigan State University. The ceremony, judged by industry professionals from the Michigan chapter of the National Academy of Televesion Arts and Sciences (NATAS), recognized standout work in student film and television production. 

The team behind Tune In secured the Long Form Fiction award. The winning project was produced by Maurice Boyd, Grace Kirby, and Steven Smith, with Brandon Siedlik serving as director and Samantha Rousseau as photographer. 

Rousseau, a standout contributor, earned additional recognition with two nominations: To Be A Woman in the arts/ entertainment/ cultural affairs category and A November 9th in the commercial category. She was also awarded the $3,600 John Schimpf College Scholarship, underscoring her achievements in the program. 

The awards highlight work evaluated by professionals in television and film, offering students a platform to showcase their skills. "We are all very proud of the work we did and grateful for this award," said Grace Kirby, a BCA student and producer for Tune In.
