2021 Commencement Information

Location: Madonna University Campus
Front lawn of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel, Felician Sisters Central Convent
Commencement will be an outdoor event.

The following Commencement ceremonies will include the graduates from both the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021. Graduates are asked to attend the ceremony for the school or college from which they earned their degree. 

Graduate School – Thursday, May 13 at 6 p.m.
College of Nursing & Health – Friday, May 14 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
College of Education & Human Development – Saturday, May 15 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
School of Business – Sunday, May 16 at 11 a.m.
College of Arts & Sciences – Sunday, May 16 at 4 p.m.

Potential Traffic Back-up Saturday and Sunday

Please plan accordingly to ensure you arrive safely and on time.

Beginning Saturday, May 15, westbound I-96 will be reduced to one lane from Beech Daly Road in Redford Township to Farmington Road in Livonia, for road work.

The westbound I-96 service drive also is closed from Beech Daly Road to Middle Belt Road for county work.

All graduates are asked to complete the Graduation Participation Form by Thursday, April 15, 2021. The Graduation Participation Form is located on MyPortal, on the Students tab, under Graduation Info 2020 and 2021


- Admission to University Commencement is by ticket only. All people are required to have a ticket, including babies and children. The graduate is also required to have a ticket.
- In order to receive tickets for Commencement, graduates must complete the Graduation Participation Form.
- Tickets have been released electronically to the graduate and instructions were sent to the graduate's Madonna email. 
- Our capacity for the event will be determined in accordance with any capacity limitations in place at the time of the event. The availability of tickets and quantities of tickets allotted are subject to change without notice.
-Madonna University will follow all state and local health department guidelines in place at the time of the event to ensure the safety of our graduates, faculty and staff, and guests.
