If you've recently attended orientation or have one coming up, you might be wondering about that blue and gold card you'll be receiving soon. Don't worry – we've got you covered with everything you need to know about your Madonna One Card!

What Exactly Is the Madonna One Card?

Think of your Madonna One Card as your campus Swiss Army knife – it's the only card you'll need while you're here at Madonna! This isn't just any ordinary student ID. Your Madonna One Card serves as:

  • Your official student identification
  • Your library card for checking out books
  • Your access pass to computer labs
  • Your access pass to the fitness center
  • Your dining hall payment method
  • Your way to spend Crusader Cash around campus
  • Your option for receiving financial aid refunds

But Wait... It Looks Like a Credit Card?

Here's something really important we want to clear up: Your Madonna One Card might look like a credit card (it even has a Mastercard logo!), but it's NOT a credit card. We know it can be confusing – trust us, you're not the first student to wonder about this.

Your Madonna One Card is primarily your student ID. The banking features are completely optional, and you're under no obligation to use them. More on that below!

How Do You Get Your Card?

Getting your Madonna One Card is pretty straightforward:

  1. Get your photo taken - Most students will have their ID photo taken at orientation. However, if you were unable to get your photo taken at orientation, or are a transfer student and don't plan on attending an orientation, head to the mail room on the main floor of the administration building (room 1201). The staff there will take your picture and give you a white temporary card to use right away, and they're open from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm on weekdays. Keep in mind that Madonna observes summer sustainability hours, and is closed on Fridays during the summer.

  2. Wait for the green envelope - About 7-10 business days after your photo is taken, you'll receive a green envelope from BMTX, Inc. to your address on file. Inside you'll find your blue and gold Madonna One Card plus instructions.

  3. Activate your card - Follow the instructions in the envelope to activate your ID card.

Financial Aid Refunds

Here's where things get a bit more detailed. Your Madonna One Card comes with something called a "Refund Selection Kit." This is just a fancy way of saying you get to choose how you want to receive any financial aid refunds you might be due.

You have two options:

Option 1: Direct deposit to your existing bank account

  • Money goes straight to your current bank account
  • Usually takes 1-2 business days to show up after the refund was issued

Option 2: Open a BankMobile Vibe Checking Account

  • This turns your Madonna One Card into a debit card
  • Money is available the same business day the refund was issued
  • This is completely optional!

Remember: Even if you're not expecting a refund right now, it's smart to make a selection anyway. That way, if you do get a refund later, there won't be any delays.

Lost Your Card? No Problem!

Things happen, we get it! If you lose your Madonna One Card or it gets stolen, just visit the Enrollment Center, located on the second floor of the administration building newar the main entrance. They can get you a replacement for a $10 fee.
