4:00 - 5:00 p.m. – Madonna University Residence Hall Complex (future site of the Residence Hall, near the University Center)
Please join Madonna University’s Board of Trustees and President Michael Grandillo as we break ground for a new residence hall set to open in fall 2022.
We will hear from the Board, President Grandillo, and Fr. Charles Morris who will provide a blessing over the site.
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. – University Center Dining Hall
Please join us in our University Center Dining Hall. All guests are invited! Lunch is $7 per person, to be paid at the door. Cash or card accepted. Dietary considerations are available, for specific needs, consult a member of the dining hall staff. Reserved seating will be available for the Classes of 1970 and 1971 and Beyond. Limited options available after 1:00 p.m.
2:30 - 3:30 p.m. – Gazebo near St. Francis Pond
The prayer service will include readings and songs from various faiths represented by members of the Madonna community. In case of inclement weather, location will be changed.
3:45 - 4:15 p.m. – University Center Chapel
Special blessings will be offered for the Classes of 1970 and 1971 and other alumni
at our Homecoming Mass.
4:15 - 6:15 p.m. – Franciscan Center, Sr. Danatha Gathering Center
We will be honoring the Classes of 1970, 1971, and Before at this Celebration Dinner. This event begins with hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Come prepared to mingle with your fellow classmates. Dinner and remarks will begin at approximately 5:15 p.m. We will be joined by President Michael and Mrs. Nancy Grandillo and our new Vice President for Advancement, Matt Rheinecker, Ph.D.
4:30 - 6:30 p.m. – Administration Building, Art Exhibit Gallery
The Exhibit Gallery will be filled with art created by Madonna Alumni. Join us for an opening reception with remarks by Dr. Chris Seguin, Chair of the Art Department, at approximately 5:45 p.m. The Exhibit Gallery is located on the second floor (accessible by elevator or stairs), above Kresge Hall and outside the University Library.
6:30 - 7:15 p.m. – Administration Building, Room 1701, near the Activities Center
Sr. Mary Angeline Filipiak led the Madonna Art Department for almost 50 years. She crafted the very bones of the programs we offer. An exhibition of Sr. Angeline’s paintings and card designs will be on display.
7:30 - 8:15 p.m. – Administration Building, Activities Center
Includes performances by the Chorale, Lyric Theatre, MUse Dance Ensemble, String Ensemble, and the Pep Band.
9:00 a.m. – Franciscan Center, Derry Studios
The Broadcast and Cinema Arts program will be recording our TV show “Celebrate Michigan” which is seen Saturdays at 5 am on WMYD TV 20 Detroit and would love for you to join us. As it is Homecoming weekend, as a special treat, our alumni will be crewing the show! The former Program Director, Chuck Derry will be at the helm of the show with a lot of other familiar faces. Dr. Chris Benson Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students will be hosting the show which will feature BCA graduates who are working in their field of study.
9:30 - 11:30 a.m. – Main Campus South and East Parking Lots
Please join the Madonna University for the inaugural pre-game party. All alumni, friends, family, and students are invited to attend. Tailgate fare will be available to purchase on-site. Challenge Cruzer or your friends to a game of cornhole, kan jam, or other outdoor games!
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. – Main Campus South and East Parking Lots
Following the pre-game football party, join President Grandillo and Cruzer in a vehicle caravan from main campus to Churchill High School. We will depart at 11:30 a.m. and arrive in time for kickoff. Advanced registration is required by Monday, September 13. Names of the drivers must be indicated in the RSVP form.

Come cheer on the Crusaders at their inaugural Homecoming football game. Tickets are: $10 per person for a single game, $5 per person for youths (7-17 years old) and free for children six and under. To purchase tickets, please visit mucrusaders.com/football.
The Homecoming registration does not include information to purchase tickets.

By invitation only. We will be honoring the 25th milestone reunion for the classes of 1995 and 1996 during the Open House. If you are a member of those classes and did not receive your invitation, please email email@example.com.
