Gearing Up for Football at Madonna

Crusader Football is an exciting addition to Madonna’s strong athletics program that will attract new students, provide student-athletes with a quality education, build school spirit, be fun for the entire family, and offer our neighbors a local football team to cheer.

The Crusaders will compete in the Mid-States Football Association Conference and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The inaugural season begins in the Fall of 2020. Some 60-plus student-athletes were recruited and began their studies in the Fall of 2019. The coaching staff plans to have 140 players on the team by the start of the 2020 inaugural football season.

Launching a football program and equipping a team to take the field requires a substantial investment in weight-training facilities, locker rooms, uniforms, equipment, and other items. Currently, Madonna is adding a weight room and related athletic training center at the renovated Performing Arts, Athletic, and Academic Center (PAAAC), located just south of the Madonna Athletic Complex on Newburgh Road.

Investing in facilities and equipment will help Crusader student-athletes prepare physically, as well as mentally.

This is a great opportunity for you to join the Madonna football fan base, to help bring a weight room, athletic training center, and locker rooms to fruition. Take part in the "adopt-a-player" campaign, with a gift of $1,500 or more, to help fully equip a player for competition, and we’ll provide you a Crusader fan jersey.
