How to Transfer

There's no minimum number of credits required to transfer to Madonna. Here's how to get started:

Complete the free online application.
Send official transcripts from every college or university you've attended.
- Include your high school transcript if you've earned less than 12 college credits
File FAFSA (school code 002282) to be considered for financial aid and transfer scholarships
Application deadlines:
- Winter 2027: December 23, 2026
- Fall 2027: August 5, 2027

Thinking About Nursing? Earn Your BSN in as Few as 16 Months

Madonna's Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) is open to students with a bachelor's degree (2.8 GPA) or at least 60 college credits (3.0 GPA). The program combines online coursework with in-person labs and offers three start dates each year. Prerequisite courses are required and available on campus or online.

Transfer Admission Requirements

Minimum 2.0 GPA from previous college/ university
- Transfer up to 90 credits from a four-year institution
- Transfer up to 74 credits from a two-year institution
Good academic and personal standing
Applicants below criteria may still be considered if potential for success is shown

Transcripts:
- Official transcripts from all colleges/ universities attended
- Military/ ACE transcripts (if applicable)
- AP test scores (if applicable)
- High school transcript (only if fewer than 12 college credits earned)
Other:
- Proof of high school completion if not reported on application/ FAFSA
- FAFSA required for financial aid

There is no minimum credit requirement to transfer to Madonna University!

Madonna University accepts transfer credits only from regionally accredited colleges and universities. If you're unsure about your school's accreditation, you can verify it at U.S. Department of Education's Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs. Remedial, technical, vocational, or duplicate courses are not eligible for transfer. Final transfer credit evaluations are determined upon receipt of all official transcripts.
