Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society (KDP)

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society for educators which promotes networking, personal and professional development, as well as community involvement. Please check our bulletin board outside the College of Education office for events and updated information. Guidelines for application to the Sigma Xi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at Madonna University are:

  1. Sophomore standing, the equivalent of 24 semester hours
  2. At least 6 hours of Education/Early Childhood courses completed at Madonna (or equivalent transfer credits with a passing grade)
  3. At least a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  4. Two letters of recommendation from Madonna University professors – we prefer at least one to be from an Education faculty member
  5. Check/money order payable to Madonna University for $5

Applications are available in the College of Education office, room 2228. Completed applications, recommendations, and check should be put in a sealed envelope and left in Dr. Sue Ann Sharma’s mailbox in the Education office.

Madonna Early Childhood Club (MECC)

MECC is a wonderful place to meet lots of people who share your interest in working with young children. We are a welcoming group with terrific opportunities and ideas – so check out the Early Childhood bulletin board outside of the College of Education office for upcoming events. Society of Future Teachers (SFT)
