Take your career to the next level

This post-MSN certificate program prepares students to comprehensively assess, diagnose, and treat complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions in young adults, adults, and older adult populations. Our program places an emphasis on evidence-based patient centered care and prevention of illness and quality assurance, in addition to seamless care coordination. Students are required to complete 500 direct care hours. Currently certified NPs who are expanding into this area of practice may request a waiver of selected courses and clinical experiences. Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible to take the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Certification Exam offered through ANCC or AACN and obtain additional specialty certification. This program is offered at Madonna University's Livonia campus or as an online accelerated program. Out-of-state students may apply to the online program if they reside in a SARA-participating state.
