Welcome to the Center for Personalized Instruction, a student-friendly office where problems are solved and academic success is just around the corner. We are the home of Madonna University’s tutoring center and the Student Support Services (SSS) TRIO Program. The CPI offers one-on-one tutoring for undergraduate students in most 100-200 level courses. Tutoring involves a one-hour, weekly appointment with a tutor who excels in a specific area of study. The CPI usually employs around 30 tutors who are specially trained and show great expertise in their chosen field.
While one-on-one tutoring is available, CPI also coordinates the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program, which provides free informal peer-led small group review sessions on a regular basis for students enrolled in select courses. In addition to tutoring and SI, CPI also sponsors several academic skills workshops offered during the fall and winter semesters, as well as the math lab.
The SSS TRIO program is also coordinated through CPI, and offers free support services, such as tutoring, peer mentoring, and academic guidance, to eligible students. The goal of the program is to support and guide students to graduation. Madonna University typically graduates 40 to 60 TRIO students per year.
