Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan


Habitat for Humanity

Help to provide affordable housing to those in need. Repair and build houses. No skills or experience necessary. Please wear old work clothes and sturdy shoes, bring a bag lunch and work gloves. Families are welcome - children must be at least 15 years old.
 
Gleaner's Community Food Bank
Help pack and sort food for use in various agencies and shelters feeding the infirmed, the hungry, the homeless and the troubled. Please wear old work clothes and sturdy shoes. Families are welcome - children must be at least 12 years old.
 
St. Christine's Soup Kitchen
Help serve and distribute food to the homeless and hungry. No skills or experience necessary.
 
Halloween Haunt
Help provide a safe Halloween celebration for our young children. Decorators, entertainers, food handlers, set-up and clean up, and individuals for trick or treat booths are needed. Volunteers during the celebration are asked to dress in Halloween costume.
 
(PBS) Channel 56 Fund Drive
Help answer telephones during the pledge drive to support public television programming. Time slot to be announced.
    
Christmas for Kids
Help provide a joyous holiday season for children in circumstances of abuse, homelessness, hunger, illness or poverty and their families including students and members of the Madonna University community. Organize your friends, co-workers and relatives to sponsor a child or a whole family from our list. Donate or solicit food and gifts. Donate time to shop, sort, wrap and/or deliver the holiday packages.
