Dear Paralegal Studies Student,
Thank you for expressing an interest in the Paralegal Studies Program at Madonna University. The program was the first in Wayne County to be approved by the American Bar Association and has enjoyed over twenty years of continuous approval. The program offers an Associate and Bachelor degree plus post-baccalaureate and post-BSN certificates. Additional program highlights include: - Small classes
- Evening and weekend classes
- Practicing attorneys and paralegals as professors
- Wide range of Paralegal elective courses
Mary Urisko, co-author of West's Paralegal Today 5th ed., and assistant director of the program, teaches Law 1000: Introduction to Paralegal Studies in the evenings. This course is an excellent method of exploring the paralegal profession further to determine if it is for you.
Jennifer Coté, the department chair, is the past Chair of the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Paralegals Approval Commission. This commission is responsible for approval of Paralegal education programs. The standards utilized by the commission ensure quality educational programs. This service to the ABA brings a wealth of current knowledge and high quality to the program at Madonna University.
