| Program Overview
The Long Term Care Administration program, offered by the Gerontology Department, examines the range of programs, services, housing options, and public policies related to the long term care of older adults.

In 1974, Madonna University established one of the first undergraduate Gerontology programs in the country. Currently, it is the only undergraduate Department of Gerontology in the State of Michigan and is one of few in the nation. The mission of the Department of Gerontology is to prepare students to address the concerns of an aging population and to promote the potential of persons in their later years.

| | | | Program Specifics | | | Students may pursue a Certificate of Completion in Nursing Home Administration, associate or bachelor of science degree. The Nursing Home Administration program at Madonna is approved by the Michigan Department of Licensure and Regulation. Students who complete the 3-course sequence are qualified to take the State and Federal Nursing Home Administrator's Examinations. | | |
