MICHIGAN TUITION GRANT (MTG) AND MICHIGAN COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP (MCS) RECIPIENTS-
The State of Michigan NOT Madonna University makes MTG/MCS Awards. Your award is tentative based on our estimate of your eligibility and may change once the State have made actual awards.
BOOK VOUCHERS-
When financial aid exceeds the amount owed for tuition, fees, room & board, you may request a book voucher from the Student Accounts Office. The voucher may be used to purchase books in the university bookstore.
REFUNDS-
If you have a credit balance on our account, you will receive a refund from the Student Accounts Office. Refunds are normally made no later than 14 days from the first day of classes or the date the credit balance occurred. Questions regarding refunds should be addressed to the Student Accounts Office.
DROP/ADD-
A student may drop or add classes during the first & second (drop only) week of school each term. Your financial aid will be based on the number of credit hours that you are is enrolled for at the end of the drop/add period each term AND ELIGIBILITY WILL NOT BE RECALCULATED FOR HOURS ADDED AFTER THE ADD/DROP PERIOD EACH TERM. Note: If you register for weekend seminars and/or workshops and then drop your classes before they begin you will have your aid eligibility re-calculated based on remaining hours.
WITHDRAWAL-
If for any reason you completely withdraw from school, you may be required to pay back a portion of the financial aid you received. Failure to pay back excess funds could result in the loss of all future financial aid. Therefore, it is extremely important that you consult with the financial aid office before withdrawing from classes.
SATISFACTORY PROGRESS-
Federal and State regulations require that students make satisfactory academic progress in order to receive financial aid. This means that the student must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. In addition, the student must also complete a minimum number of credit hours each term. A detailed description of satisfactory academic progress requirements can be found in the "Madonna University Bulletin” and the “Madonna University Student Financial Aid Handbook”. Note: Withdrawing from classes can have a significant impact on the students satisfactory academic progress. Therefore, again, you are cautioned against withdrawing without consulting the Financial Aid Office.

SUMMER AID-
Spring/Summer Term financial aid depends to a large extent on the availability and demand for funds during the regular academic year. Financial aid for spring/summer is typically restricted to student loans and/or work. If you receive a financial aid refund during the fall and/or winter semester, we strongly encourage you to reserve those funds for spring/summer classes.

Your signature on the Award Letter signifies that you have read, understand and agree to abide by the conditions set forth in the document.
GRAD STUDENTS- IF YOU ARE IN THE MASTERS PROGRAM, ONLY GRADUATE COURSES (500 LEVEL AND ABOVE) WILL BE COUNTED IN DETERMINING YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR FINANCIAL AID....
