Welcome to Madonna University’s College of Nursing and Health where we offer nursing and hospice education. These programs focus on health and well being throughout the life cycle.  The nursing and hospice programs have undergraduate and graduate offerings that challenge students to gain the knowledge and competence required to meet the needs of individuals, families and communities. The Nursing program which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2002 is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in 2006, prior to that time was accredited by NLNAC.  Madonna has a proud history of preparing nurses at the undergraduate and graduate level.  Graduates are highly regarded in nursing.  The faculty prides itself in concern for students and those for whom we care.  Curricula are based on the department’s core values of wellness, professionalism, caring and a focus on the future.  The Hospice Education program has enjoyed success since its inception in 1984.  Providing education at the bachelors and masters degree level, it is the only university-based program of its kind in the nation.  Hospice and palliative care is an emerging field in healthcare offering tremendous opportunities for hospice care delivery across the care continuum. Students receive individualized attention and an excellent education from well trained faculty committed to the philosophy of hospice care.  Healthcare today provides some of the most challenging and rewarding opportunities.
