All students who have a completed financial aid file will receive an award letter. This award is the result of the application that you submitted to MadonnaUniversity.Read this award letter carefully.Pay particular attention to the assumptions we have made concerning your enrollment status and living arrangements for the academic year.
An award letter notice will state the amount(s) and type(s) of financial aid you are being offered for the designated semester(s).The term “Financial Aid” refers to loans, grants, work-study and scholarship funds. You must complete and return the award notice to the financial aid office by the date specified on the notice.Failure to do so could result in a loss of financial aid.
IF YOU WISH TO ACCEPT THE FINANCIAL AID AWARD, SIGN AND RETURN ONE COPY OF THE AWARD LETTER, THE TITLE IV AUTHORIZATION FORM AND/OR THE STAFFORD/PLUS APPLICATION.
When we receive your signed award letter, your account will be credited with the appropriate amount of grants and scholarships. This will be reflected on your next bill.
Note: Your award letter states the maximum amount of aid that you qualify for.You can accept, reduce or decline the aid.
LOANS: If your award letter includes loans, you must complete your Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling and return the loan information sheet before we can process your loan.If you are a first time borrower, you will receive instructions on how to complete your Master Promissory Note.If you received a loan from MadonnaUniversity in a prior academic year-it is recommended that you stay with the same lender and you will not be required to complete another Master Promissory Note. After your loan has been processed, you will receive a disclosure statement from your lender indicating the amount of your loan.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE AMOUNT OF YOUR AWARD IS PRELIMINARY.Your actual award will be based on your enrollment status (actual number of hours you are enrolled for) at the end of the second week of school (add/drop period) each term.
If you drop or withdraw from classes during the academic year, your aid may be adjusted accordingly. If you completely withdraw from school, you may be required to pay back a portion of the aid you received. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to consult our office prior to dropping or withdrawing from classes.
