Pastoral Ministry & Religious studies

Pastoral Ministry & Religious Studies

Madonna University offers majors and minors in Pastoral Ministry and Religious Studies. The programs are offered in response to the increased interest in religion and church-related careers.

The Pastoral Ministry program includes scriptural/ethical and practical dimensions of Christian service. The Religious Studies program has a greater focus on Biblical research. Two RST courses (Catholicism and The Sacraments) are designed basically within the Catholic tradition but are not limited to persons of that religious persuasion. Other RST courses are ecumenical in both content and in method of presentation.

A minor in Philosophy is offered and should be declared at the time of registration. The program is designed to promote skill in critical thinking and to reflect on problems and ultimate questions of meaning, order, value and the human condition.
