Peace and Justice Subcommittee
"Yes, it is every day that the ideal of peace has to be made into a concrete reality by each one of us."
  -Pope John Paul II

This subcommittee is dedicated to making students aware of their responsibilities in the field of justice and peace, as well as human and social issues. Some of these are primarily for reflection and awareness, while others are more action-oriented. The subcommittee helps students bear witness to their faith in the social field, on service learning trips (alternative spring break), Gleaners Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, during talks regarding peace and justice, and through related awareness videos and fundraisings.

Peace and Justice sponsors an annual dance during the winter semester called the Swing for Peace. Each year the group selects an organization to support. Proceeds go toward supporting their efforts to assist the poor and needy.
