MCC Student Leadership Camp September 23 – 25 Application deadline is Wednesday, September 14 at noon.
Michigan Service Scholars (MSS) The Michigan Service Scholars Program recognizes students who complete a minimum of 300 community service hours within a calendar year. Scholars volunteering in youth-serving organizations, including K-12 schools, and exposing youth to higher education through the facilitation of college-focused activities will receive a $1,132 educational award upon completion of their service hours. The MSS application process has closed.
Summer Bridge Camp | Apply Online Madonna University partners with Urban Neighborhood Initiatives each summer to offer a six-night residential pre-college camp for Southwest Detroit youth. The camp, which usually takes place in June, focuses on supporting the college going aspirations of middle school youth through high energy camp activities that address the academic, social, physical and spiritual components of a college experience. If you are looking for an opportunity to spread your leadership wings, apply to serve as a camp counselor.
College Positive Volunteerism (CPV) Join Michigan’s college-going movement and become a College Positive Volunteer! CPV’s help youth and families plan for college and KnowHow2Go!. Our CPV’s are academically diverse with interests in many areas, including criminal justice, dietetics, education, nursing, nutrition, psychology, religious studies and sign language studies.
Student Organizations Participate in community service by joining a Registered Student Organization! The Animal Awareness, Campus Ministry, Ecological Volunteer, Red Cross, Society of Future Teachers, Students Creating Opportunities to Promote Education, Students for Liberty and Student United Way are just a few organizations you may want to check out!
