Madonna University offers telecourses for college credit. The courses are organized to maximize student learning while remaining convenient and cost effective. A telecourse is an educational package that may include video programs, online components, Blackboard, audiotapes, email communications, online courses, study guides, textbooks, and on-campus sessions with an instructor. Telecourses are the most traditional form of distance learning. Students view professionally produced video lessons supplemented with textbooks and study guides.
"Telecourses continue to grow in popularity despite the rise of online education; the Internet may provide opportunities for more growth and improvement." – Chronicle of Higher Education.
Telecourse video programs include the following viewing options:
- Home viewing on your DVD or VCR by signing out the telecourse materials from the Madonna University Library with a current student ID.
- Individual viewing of videotapes at the Madonna University Library; no appointments necessary during open hours.
- Arrangements may be made for off-campus programs and special needs.
