Why Study Spanish for Medical Settings at Madonna University?
- 100% of Madonna Spanish program graduates are employed in their fields within a year upon graduation
- Within one year into and throughout the program, you will have different opportunities to engage in interactions with speakers of Spanish in a variety of places inside and outside the University and for a variety of purposes
- The third year into the program, you will work on an undergraduate level research project where you will conduct interviews and observations of the cultural experiences of Latinos living in the U.S. and abroad
- During the fourth year of the program, you will analyze the structures of the Spanish language and evaluate the Latino culture within the context of their communities in the Metro Detroit Area, Michigan, and the U.S.
In this program you will receive linguistic skills training specific to the medical field and develop cross-cultural competence. Once you graduate, you will be able to communicate and interact with Spanish-speaking populations in your chosen profession.
