Non-native speakers of English are drawn to Madonna University for its tremendous reputation for delivering a quality education supported by Christian humanistic values. Many of these students begin their studies by embracing the English language through English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. These adult courses are designed to help students learn or improve their grammar, reading, speech and vocabulary. Advanced courses are also available for students who have previously studied English and have a desire to increase their skills.

Each course meets for 14 weeks, twice per week for two hours each session, and costs $972.  In addition, students meet each Friday for four hours of American Language and Culture Immersion activities for no extra cost. A placement test is required before students may begin classes and costs $25, which is nonrefundable. Please pay the $25 fee at Student Accounts prior to taking the test. Bring the receipt to the testing session. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

The following dates are available for the placement test. Dates and times are subject to change. Verify this information by calling 734-432-5397 or 734-432-5543.
