Madonna University offers a comprehensive liberal arts education integrated with career preparation. This means that graduates acquire the critical skills and abilities that employers say they want in new employees: communication skills, problem solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in collaborative groups. A Madonna University education is also an education for the whole person, focusing on the intellectual, spiritual, and personal development to prepare students to live as successful and productive citizens of American society.

While learning at Madonna University in a safe, student-centered environment, our students also learn the importance of service. Through service-learning, internships, practicums, and other real-world experiences, students learn the power and rewards of giving back to others. Many of the University’s more than 100 undergraduate and 35 graduate programs – many nationally recognized – integrate experiential components that give our graduates a competitive edge when they enter the world of work.

This comprehensive approach to combining the liberal arts with career education distinguishes Madonna University from other schools. Students are encouraged to include a range of academic options in their plan of study for a degree, such as study abroad or collaborative student-faculty research. This four-year career-preparation model begins in the First-Year Experience program, which engages incoming students in an introspective consideration of what their individual educational journey will look like.
