The Psychology Major – General Concentration is designed to be a strong complement to a broad liberal arts education with a focus on a wide range of content areas in psychology. Since psychology focuses on the study of the human mind and behavior, the general concentration is excellent preparation for any position requiring strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, such as sales and service. With experience in critical thinking and communications psychology majors are well positioned in the job market. The general concentration also prepares students for graduate study in psychology and other related disciplines.
