Students work with instructors in the classroom and in varied laboratory experiences. The new science and media building features state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment where students and faculty design and carry out innovative research projects.

The Clinical Laboratory Sciences are a branch of medicine concerned with the performance of laboratory analyses at the macro and micro level necessary for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of human and animal diseases. Our broad based curriculum includes courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics along with pre-professional courses in hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. The hospital internships offer experiences in flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics DNA analysis, therapeutic drug monitoring and advanced clinical services in microbiology, virology and pathology.

The Biology program seeks to foster the understanding of knowledge related to structures and processes common to living systems. Biology students will gain the knowledge and skills required to be successful in graduate, professional studies, secondary education careers, or laboratory and field research.
