Providing preparation for students planning to attend professional internships or graduate school, our mission is to equip students for Clinical Laboratory Sciences careers, medical sciences, and biotechnology programs.
The Clinical Laboratory Sciences are a branch of medicine concerned with the performance of laboratory analyses at the macro and micro level necessary for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of human and animal diseases. Our broad based curriculum includes courses in biology, chemistry, and mathematics along with pre-professional courses in hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine. The hospital internships offer experiences in flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics DNA analysis, therapeutic drug monitoring and advanced clinical services in microbiology, virology and pathology.
