As part of the Gerontology Department, the mission of the Aging and Older Adults Certificate is to prepare students to address the concerns of an aging population and to promote the potential of people in their later years.
This short-term plan of study provides a general overview of the abilities, needs and resources for people in their later years. Required courses are offered both online and on campus, and can be completed in two semesters. This certificate complements a wide variety of majors and businesses that may find serving the interests of older adults relevant to their goals.
