The mission of the Social Work program is to ensure students have the knowledge, skills and values necessary for entry-level generalist social work practice and graduate studies. Madonna University offers a Bachelor of Social Work degree accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
The Social Work curriculum is founded on the premise that social workers need a well-integrated program of liberal arts content, specific professional content, a global perspective, and a professionally-guided field practicum. These experiences focus on the delivery of services to individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities within Generalist Practice.
Social workers enhance problem-solving abilities and coping mechanisms of people while establishing connections to systems that provide resources, services, and opportunities for oppressed and vulnerable populations.
