Recognizing the need for excellent written communication skills essential to success in a multitude of careers, Madonna University’s Department of Communication and Writing developed the Professional and Technical Writing program. The program offers students real-world written communication skills essential to success in any workplace. A palette of course options gives students the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, acquire multimedia experience, and sharpen practical and transactional writing skills.
Providing students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for careers in fields such as technical writing, editing, publishing, corporate communications, sales, health care industries, state and local governments, and technology based businesses, the program also prepares students for graduate studies in fields including technical communication, business and law.
The Professional and Technical Writing program offers a bachelor's degree, a minor, and a Post-Bachelor Certificate of Completion to enhance students' workplace writing. The minor plan of study allows students to focus on writing in their chosen field of interest.
