The mission of the Religious Studies Department is to assist students in developing skills and knowledge necessary for maturation of Judeo-Christian humanistic values, appreciation for ecumenical diversity, and application of critical thinking and responsible moral decision making through the pursuit of truth and commitment to the service of others.

The Pastoral Ministry program emphasizes the student's role in intellectual and practical manners of service to those seeking faith in their daily lives. This program, in addition to Sacred Scripture and Moral/Ethical courses, offers a wide range of electives applicable to ministerial work.
