The mission of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Madonna University is to instill intellectual inquiry by providing students with problem solving strategies and enabling them to apply their skills in careers that require proficiency in mathematics.

The Mathematics program offers a Bachelor of Science as well as a minor. Student learning is enhanced by integrating technology in the classroom through the use of graphing calculators and other software that aids in the understanding and application of mathematics. Student collaboration is facilitated by small class sizes offered at Madonna University, allowing greater interaction between instructors and students. Alumni of the Mathematics program have pursued graduate degrees and careers in secondary education along with other fields, such as actuarial science and pharmaceutical companies.
