The Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialty in Literacy Education is a graduate program designed to enable certified classroom teachers to develop the competencies that qualify them as reading specialists/coaches. The program is aligned with all required standards of the International Reading Association and the Michigan Department of Education, and is approved for a K-12 endorsement to elementary and secondary teaching certificates. Reduced rates are available for Madonna University alumni and teachers in the Archdiocese of Detroit. The Archdiocese also offers a tuition assistance program for qualified candidates working in the Archdiocese of Detroit Schools.
