The focus of the Post-MSN Certificate in Adult Advanced Practice Palliative Care Nursing Specialty is to further prepare nurses who are currently certified in advanced practice to provide palliative care services. Advanced practice palliative care nursing serves patients, families, and caregivers during serious, progressive illnesses. Palliative care nurses provide holistic care that focuses on disease management, symptom relief, emotional distress, care transition, and loss.

Prior certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan in required.
