The Master of Science in Clinical Psychology program offers professional training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders and psychological distress. Students in the program learn to provide services to adults, adolescents, children and families with an emphasis on interventions as found to be useful across a wide range of clinical issues and life circumstances. The Clinical Psychology program features a modern psychoanalytic theoretical orientation, practicum training fully integrated into the curriculum, and rigorous preparation for clinical employment.

Within the values and goals of Madonna University, the Psychology Department provides a solid foundation in the understanding of the whole person through exploration of research-based practice in psychology. Study in the Department promotes the development of responsible scholarship, knowledge of major findings, issues in psychology, an open, inquiring mind, and an appreciation of the diversity of human life. Course work prepares students to think psychologically, to apply psychological principles to a professional setting or to study psychology and related disciplines at the graduate level. Through a combination of classroom and practicum-based learning, the program prepares students to pursue a limited license in psychology from the State of Michigan.
