The primary mission of Madonna University’s Dietetics program is to provide graduates with the knowledge and skills required to be successful in a supervised practice or entry level job setting, and to prepare for the credentialing examination. The Dietetics program aims to develop students who will utilize their knowledge and skills in an articulate and assertive manner to fulfill pre-professional roles as interns and professional roles as capable care-givers, counselors, educators, administrators, and advocates.

The Dietetics program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Successful completion of the Bachelor of Science in Dietetics allows students to apply for accredited dietetic internships. After successful completion of the internship and the credentialing examination, students may begin a career as a Registered Dietitian.

Madonna University offers small classes, individual attention and assistance with internship applications. Graduates may pursue careers in nutrition support, critical care, senior centers, nutritional counseling centers, sports nutrition, pediatric nutrition, corporate wellness programs, renal clinics, and food service management.
