The Biology program seeks to foster the understanding of knowledge related to structures and processes common to living systems. Biology majors will gain the knowledge and skills required to be successful in graduate, professional studies, secondary education careers, or laboratory and field research.
 
Biology majors work with instructors in the classroom and in varied laboratory experiences. The new science and media building features state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment where students and faculty design and carry out innovative research projects. In addition to the Biology major, the program offers a variety of minors and certificate programs to choose from including minors in Biology, Environmental Science or Chemistry, and a DNA Analysis Certificate of Completion.
