Madonna University’s 24 semester hour certificate in American Studies is designed to complement programs of study in English and History. Students can satisfy their degree requirements and complete this certificate simultaneously. With additional elective courses in art history and political science, this certificate enables students to synthesize their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the American experience.

Though not a professional certificate, the American Studies concentration will be of interest to students planning to teach American literature and social studies, and students planning graduate work in American Studies.
