Students in this generalist graduate degree program are currently employed in supervisory through mid-level management positions and are seeking to develop their leadership theory and skills. Often these students have non-business undergraduate degrees and wish to strengthen their credentials with this business degree. The MSBA was the first graduate degree offered by Madonna University's School of Business and has more than one thousand graduates from major corporations, small businesses, government, and nonprofit business.

Unlike other degrees of this nature offered by competing schools, the MSBA in Leadership Studies program is based on traditional business skills with an emphasis in business leadership. This degree is offered internationally in Taiwan and China, generating hundreds of graduates from those countries.
