Who Is In The Office Of Service-Learning?


The Office of Service-Learning consists of Kevin West and Stephen Rahrig. You can contact them if you have any questions or need any assistance with service-learning.


Kevin West is the Director of Service-Learning at Madonna. Kevin promotes civic engagement through service-learning at the University. His responsibilities have included overseeing neighborhood “asset mapping” projects in Detroit and the creation and management of a 15 semester hour undergraduate Certificate of Community Leadership Program. Kevin supports both large and small university-community partnerships as a project director, grant writer and assessment professional. He manages Madonna faculty, staff and student participation in a HUD sponsored Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC) collaborative in Detroit. Kevin is a representative to the state’s Campus Compact faculty steering committee, as well as a grant reviewer, and a 2002 Midwest Campus Compact Service Learning/Community Service Director Fellow.


Stephen Rahrig is the "MCC AmeriCorps*VISTA for Service-Learning. He graduated from Madonna in 2005 with a B.A. in Religious Studies. He is here to help you with service-learning projects, as well as events/activities within Student Government and Student Activities. Stephen is also the MU site supervisor for the Michigan Service Scholars scholarship program.
