Academic Service-Learning Expectations for Faculty:
- Describe the service-learning activity and its relation to the course objectives in the
course syllabus, and facilitate activities that will prepare students for their
service-learning experience.
- Familiarize themselves with the service sites and monitor student progress through
discussions, journal assignments, progress reports or individual consultations.
- Have students complete all necessary paperwork for the organization and Office of
Service Learning.
- Provide individual and/or group forums for students to reflect on their learning.
